Bucks County authorities have arrested 17 men suspected of internet crimes against children after a months-long investigation led by the Bensalem Police Department and the District Attorney’s Office.
Detectives posed as minors online, leading to arrests for soliciting sex, traveling to meet children, and child pornography offenses.
Suspects hail from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland — some were already registered sex offenders under Megan’s Law.
District Attorney Jennifer Schorn stressed the continued commitment to prosecuting child predators, while Public Safety Director William McVey noted several offenders arrived in Bensalem with proof of their harmful intentions.
Officials warned of high recidivism and highlighted the need for vigilance, urging parents to monitor their children’s app usage and internet activity.
Support is available for victims through the National Sexual Violence Resource Center and a toll-free hotline. Read More... |
Show your support for missing kids. Be part of the movement. Every day, families across our nation wake up to the unimaginable pain of not knowing where their child is. Behind the headlines — or too often, with no headlines at all — thousands of children remain missing. Their names may fade from the news cycle, but their absence never fades for the people who love them. |

Child trafficking in the U.S. is often misunderstood, masking the everyday realities endured by young victims.
Contrary to popular belief, most trafficked children are not abducted by strangers or moved across borders. Many are exploited by acquaintances, partners, or even relatives, with traffickers relying on manipulation and emotional control rather than outright violence.
Boys and non-binary youth frequently face trafficking risks alongside girls, but their experiences are often ignored or doubted due to persistent stereotypes. Many remain unseen by support systems, amplifying their vulnerability.
Victims rarely self-identify; stigma, trauma, and fear keep them silent. Professionals outside specialized training may overlook subtle warning signs, resulting in missed intervention.
Operation Soteria Shield in April 2025 revealed extensive child exploitation, rescuing 109 children and arresting 244 suspects.
Breaking down myths, ensuring accurate awareness, and improving support access are crucial to safeguarding children. Read More... |

You’ll find this beloved national dish on tables across Barbados, its mellow flavors representing the warmth of home, even on stormy days far from the Caribbean.
Flying fish is a staple on the island but can be replaced with sea bass elsewhere, making it possible to savor a taste of Barbados anywhere.
Freshness is essential, with local chefs using just-caught seafood and a signature Bajan seasoning—herbaceous, vibrantly fresh, and balanced with a hint of scotch bonnet chili.
Other traditional favourites, such as pudding and souse, join cou-cou and flying fish every Saturday in homes and markets.
Events like the Oistins Fish Festival in 2025 spotlight these dishes, drawing communities together to celebrate their rich culinary heritage and spirited maritime culture.
