McDowall Clinches Grand Prize in Farmer's Choice Ham Season 2025 Competition

Barbadian Community Celebrates as Farmer's Choice Wraps Up Festive Campaign

Nicolette McDowall emerged as the grand prize winner in the Farmer's Choice Ham Season 2025 competition, securing a brand-new fridge and stove.

The prize-giving ceremony took place at Massy Warrens, marking the culmination of a vibrant campaign that engaged Barbadians nationwide.

Kitisheanna Williams, Marketing Coordinator for Farmer's Choice, highlighted the extensive efforts to connect with the community during the festive season.

"We were on the side of the highway giving away ham cutters, we did our bus tour all over St Michael with the We Gatherin’ Committee, we did shop stops all over the island and we had ham cutter eating competitions," Williams noted.

She emphasized the brand's presence across various media platforms, including radio, TV, and social media.

The campaign's success was evident, with nearly 400 participants vying for prizes such as an electric knife set, an air fryer, and the grand prize.

Third-place winner Rickey Springer took home an electric knife set, while second-place winner Janelle Morris received an air fryer.

Both winners expressed excitement and appreciation for Farmer's Choice products.

Grand prize winner Nicolette McDowall shared her surprise and joy upon receiving the winning call.

"The funny thing was the day before I got the call, I was telling myself nobody called me yet because I was determined to win," McDowall said.

She added, "Then the next day I got a call, and I was like, what? So yes, I am excited. I will enter again. I love Farmer’s Choice, best combination ever."

Nicole Ferguson, Brand Manager for Farmer's Choice at Acado Barbados, expressed gratitude to both consumers and staff for the successful season.

"We had an amazing ham season thanks to the entire public," Ferguson stated.

She also acknowledged the hard work of the company's teams, ensuring a memorable Christmas season for all.

As the event concluded, Williams hinted at Farmer's Choice's upcoming participation in Agrofest, inviting the community to join them in future celebrations.
